Henry Mares
Producer, Director
________________
Both graduating with a Communications degree in TV Production and Theatre and possessing a true eye for the unusual has helped Henry Mares become one of the Denver Metro Area's most creative and award-winning event video producers. Henry began this company with a dream to help people, both corporate and social clients, find just the right production service fit. In so many companies, video creating is about egos….and usually those of the producers. But at Mares Productions, the focus is on the client's ideas together with those of the creative team. Henry has also spent years volunteering in community theatre projects, religious productions, and at-risk youth services. Henry is not only the co-founder of the company, but is also the research and development man in the six staff company. When not busy in production, he enjoys being with his family, fishing, playing racquetball, and writing plays.

Lisa started with the company by association- by marrying the founder, Henry, in 1987. She is the Vice-president, and works many areas, including community and customer service, marketing and sales. Lisa has a degree in social work and often works with her clients through the many stressful phases of production-including venting! With hundreds of events filmed over the years, she also works with the creative team in pre-production, filming and edit preview sessions. She has received recognition for her contributions in the non-profit sector, has been a featured guest and speaker on radio, cable, and local network TV. She also founded the
Colorado Professional Videographers Association (formerly known as the Rocky
Mountain Professional Videographers Association), a professional video group devoted to educating and advancing the event video industry. When asked about her belief in video and its powerful message, she quickly replied:
"I am often a consumer, too, and relate that to my clients. For example, I remember when I got married. I was so upset when people weren't clear or honest. I made some mistakes, and my biggest one was not having a good, professional video to remember all the events of my day! We hired someone without doing our homework. No, it's not a line! I am really serious. Ask Henry. He liked the video so much that he has never seen the entire thing! It helps so much to make educated choices. I want my brides to have so much more than what I have, and am committed to creating videos that capture the emotion, love, details, and ...people who will someday fade away, but live forever in video."
Lisa lives in the Denver metro area with Henry and their sons,
Nicholas, Justin, and Jonathan. When given an opportunity, Lisa
enjoys slipping away to the mountains to play, or plan family
vacations with relatives back in Michigan.
